About Me

Equine Reiki

Where It All Began

As far back as I can remember, I have always been intuitive. I just didn't realize it. I could find anything lost by anyone, but myself. While we never discussed this ability, it was common in our family to seek the guidance of a psychic or a shaman. I found myself drawn toward energy and the chakra system in my twenties while attending college. And then life swept me away from parts of it as I began a family and a career.

Reiki Begins
I met a woman who would become my Reiki Master, my teacher. With her guidance I completed the three levels of Reiki education and accompanying energetic attunements. I started practicing, first on family and friends. And then on dogs and horses. I was aware this would likely enhance intuition.

And Then It Happened
During a family trip for a wedding, everything changed. For our entire stay in the basement of the home we rented we felt a presense that made us feel uneasy at best and at times down right scared. No one wanted to be in the basement alone and we tended to run up the stairs. One time I was so afraid to turn around because of how strongly I felt the fear, afraid I would see something I couldn't unsee. I called my Reiki Master.

Translating Energy
I knew when we left the house, that I never wanted to feel that way again. The only way to ensure that, was to understand what it was we experienced and to learn how to protect myself and my family from it in the future. I spent years developing my ability to channel messages from spirit and past loved ones and to expand my visions and ability to read and translate energy. The more I exercised my psychic muscle, the stronger it became.

And Then Came Yoga and Meditation
Understanding and translating energy was one thing, but living in today's world with the intensity of the energy is challenging to say the least. While I understood the world in a new light, it didn't seem to help a great deal with the rollar coaster that sensing energy creates. I was stressed, unhappy with parts of my life and lacked balance, I seemed to swing from one extreme to the other. I craved peace. I found my first hint on a yoga mat. My yoga and meditation practice that evolved, gave me another perspective and one that seemed to weave some sanity into what felt so insane. After practicing for long enough to know I wanted to know more on a deeper level, I enrolled and completed my 200 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) Training. Recently achieveing 200 E-RYT after completing teaching hours to become an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher.
